Beltane 2009

Hello everyone!

The most curious thing happened today! I had pretty much come to the realization that I was not going to get to celebrate Beltane this year. I was supposed to attend a Beltane celebration on Saturday, but it looks like I'm gonna have to be out of town and won't be able to make it. Then out of the blue tonight, my boyfriend asked if I wanted to build a fire in our firepit tonight! Now understand, my boyfriend is not a pagan and knows absolutely nothing about Beltane! Of course I said sure! We built a fire and sat by the fire for a little while. My boyfriend wasn't feeling well and went in, so I was left outside alone with the fire! I live in the middle of town, so unfortunately I was not able to dance naked around the fire, but I did get to dance! I took my rattles out and dance, chanted and prayed under a beautiful half moon! It was a wonderful experience! I hope all of you have a blessed Beltane.
