A return to wild roots

Life is so full of ups and down, a necessary part of the balance that fate hands us. This Irish Scorpio, seasoned by lifes trials, warmed by the joys brought to me by those close, and the majesty of nature, has seen an abundance of both the urban existance, and the calming serenity of natures green majesty.

Was raised in a forest enviroment, by a Mother devoted to our beloved Goddess, as was her Mother. Left to my own choice of path, I remained close and devoted to the Rede, with a deep devoted love of our Goddess, and the green realm she watches over.Manys the time, as I left my Mothers house, to center myself in the Redwood realm, my Mother would watch me enter my preferred home, a soft look in her eyes, understanding my love of the forest realm, so much likened to her own heart. Her furred children, the wild of the forest green, became close, cared for brothers, since adolescence. Was a common thing for me to spend most of my free time , as a child, walking along redwood trails, in commune with the wild children that live in the green world. The mountain Lion, the sleek bobcat, the graceful white tailed deer, among other wild children, became my adopted brothers and sisters, not truly friends, as they live by the rules of wild survival, and, unfortunately, our two legged breed are known by their instincts , as the apex predator. But , as I come upon them in our green home, they were less likely to blt and run at my slow approach, a curiosity, sensing no malice from me, a calming, to a degree, as though they allowed a degree of bonding, from a distance. Our wild bretheren sensed my empathic side, far keener than most of our own breeds instincts, so, became, as I grew into adulthood, a memebr of the green community, unlike my uneasy life in the two legged urban realm.

Soon, after a long, exhaustive period in this urban world, I return to my green home. This time spent back in the chaos of a unnatural world, filled with strife and confusion, endured and bested by a lifetime of experience, nonetheless has left the spirit tired. Nights Ive dreamed of the forest green, some dreams coupled with the presence of a sister schooled in craft, wise in knownladge of our beloved Mother. Quiet, reflective walks, soft conversation of philosophies and mysteries, as we walk along isolated backwoods game trails, the way our Goddess intended us, pagan Alpha and Beta, living in harmony within her green home. Other dreams , my totem, the cunning wolf, would show himself in some way in the dreams, as If calling me home, or a Lynx, feline huntress, would show itself in some way as I traversed a backwoods trail. Signs soon, to come to pass. In but short days, Ill be enroute back to my home of choice, and, mayhap, a far preferred wilderness. The Denali Park region of Alaska, the last bit of civilization , leading to the last true Amerian wilderness. The Alaskan tundra. Where the awesome Kodiak Bear, apex predator of the region, neighbored by the cunning Grey Wolf, and the Northern Lynx, large cousin of the Bobcat, call home. Where Moose, Carabou, the secretive Wolverine, and many other wild bretheren, call their home. And, though Ill be among tourists a part of the day, a necessary to living in this beautiful realm, after hours, as the Alaskan sun sinks below the horizon, this pagan Scorpio will return for periods, to the green world, to heal my urban torn spirit in the forest realm once again. The wolf calls to my heart, and, as it was meant, so it will be.
