- After the nightmare of losing my 22yr. old daughter and 4yr. old granddaughter four years ago in a car accident, candlemaking became my therapy. I have always grown herbs and made lotions, potions, etc. so I devoted every waking moment to my craft and somehow managed to come out on the side of grief finding my true self. I opened my candle shop a year and a half ago and for the first time in my life, I feel totally fulfilled. I am so thankful for every moment my beautiful girls were here with me....if it weren't for them, I would not have had the courage to change the direction of my life.
