i think my first advise to any one who wants to make a talisman is
Join your local Gem and Mineral society. you will be able to obtain a wide range of materials there. at club meetings and at the Gem and Mineral shows. You will also have access to equipment and instruction for creating a cabbochon like this one. It usually costs as little as $10.oo for four hours of cabbing and cutting instruction. I thoroughly enjoy the club activities and field trips, learning Where to look for a stones, What to do to pack them for safe transport it home, and how to cut, Facet, polish or cab it as well.
be a participating member of the club and go to their cabbing and cutting shop as often as you can. learning to make things like this I am always surprised by the wonderful array of helpful eneergies in the stones even those under our own feet. But Let me know what you think of this enjoy Pat
